It’s time to prep yourself for a savage abs workout like no other. Forget about situps and toe-taps (for now), this circuit routine will challenge, strengthen and sculpt your core and work your arms, back, glutes and chest too, courtesy of fitness expert Jillian Michaels.

In this 60-second clip, Jillian breezes through five dynamic moves without breaking a drop of sweat. If you’ve got five minutes to spare, you too can be hardcore like Jillian. To switch-up your fitness routine, all you need is a mat and a set of dumbbells and you’re ready to go.

One of the moves is the hollowman or hollow-body hold. This is a foundational position for gymnastics and requires you to stabilise your entire core. Do this at least five times a week and you will have rock-hard abs in no time.

Another is a reverse crunch with a chest press. The reverse crunch can be the best thing that ever happened to your abs, but only if done right. It will strengthen and tone the bottom portion of your abdominal muscles underneath the fat to take your four pack to a six pack.
